A compete bathroom refurb/remodel for a lovely new customer in Dunstable. Complete demolition and removal of the old bathroom, planning and relocating new items, chasing all plumbing work. Fully retiled walls and floors and fitting new items completing the finished room.
The old bathroom was poorly planned and fitted and had been leaking for some time. We repositioned the toilet and cored a new soil pipe linking into the outside stack, along with a modern 600mm vanity basin/tap along with a modern mirror cabinet positioned directly above. The towel rail pipes were wall chased to avoid clutter and messy pipework and all copper wrapped in dense tape before bonding to avoid future corrosion issues.
All items were planned and laser aligned with the tiling along with grout lines. Floor and wall tiles also had aligned grout lines just like a runway. We’re a tad OCD like that! ;)
Finishing touches included installing aluminium edgings, pre-finished skirting and windoboard and mini ceiling coving.
For wet area work we always use aquapanel boards (no plasterboard here!) and tank/waterproof fully, using industry standard products from the likes of Schluter, Mapei, Jacko, BAL, Wedi, Hardiebacker etc...
