We were asked to check on a new customers shower as they had a leak downstairs and damp/black mould on their landing with the wallpaper literally falling off due to the water ingress.
We discovered a poorly designed/installed shower area and tiling by a local, established and trusted contractor.
We were tasked to rip out and completely reinstall with new shower tray, cubicle/screen and retiling.
After removal, walls were repaired, primed and a waterproofing/tanking membrane applied. Floor joists and window frame needed repair due to water damage including floor coverings.
We sourced tile samples to compliment the current wall tiles outside the shower area and the customer chose a design. These were then planned into the shower area including the window surround and cill, including matching grout lines with the existing tiles to create a seamless finish.
Specialist base installed, All tiling completed with premium Mapei flexible cementious adhesive/sealants. Aluminium brushed trims finished the tiling beautifully including a new shower tray and single sliding door cubicle.
The result is a clean, modern shower area which still blends seamlessly and complimentary to the existing bathroom tiling/area.
